Fuelblooded, "Inflict the Inevitable"
Fuelblooded, formerly known as Sacramental Sachem have apparently been around since 1989, but Inflict the Inevitable is the band’s debut under the new moniker. This five-piece from The Netherlands play semi-melodic thrash with some death elements and the result sounds like a less proficient version of Darkane. Whereas the aforementioned Swedes have been treated to nothing less than the best recording quality, Fuelblooded’s work sounds flat and colorless, with the cymbal splashes overpowering everything else. Moreover, the band’s arrangements aren’t the most interesting, as many of the songs sound like they should be played more aggressively and far faster, and the clean-ish vocal delivery used on most tracks does nothing but tear down Fuelblooded’s already fragile credibility. The lesson on Inflict the Inevitable is if you’re going to play material that’s really similar to an already established and respected act, you’d better find something to do differently or better or more impressively. On this disc, Fuelblooded play material that resembles Darkane’s but is slower, less interesting and inadequately recorded.
