Reviews : Albums : Until Death Overtakes Me, "Symphony III : Monolith"

One three-minute intro and three insanely long songs. That is what this is. It possesses in length what it lacks in everything else. Honestly, if you can get into the whole drone thing then this might be up your alley. Personally I don't really get the idea of being blown away by a band hitting the record button, playing one chord and then holding it until the tape runs out, but whatever. These guys aren't quite on the Sunn O))) level, but the music is nearly as dull. It's just some keyboards, guitars and vocals that sound like they are coming from someone whose head is being held underwater. It's just the same thing over and over again for an hour and fourteen minutes. There's nothing going on to really talk about on this record so I'll shut it down right here.
