Kult ov Azazel, "The Triumph of Fire"

This is an earlier Kult of Azazel album and to be honest I think I might like this one most of all the albums I've heard of theirs. The material is of course rather fast black metal, though they don't rely on the blastbeat to the point of madness. Combine a decent production and some really harsh vocals and you get a quality album. The rhythm section is quite good here, although the drum sound is a bit weak. The only downside of this album is that the songs can be rather repetitive. They do throw in the odd bass break just to change things up a little bit but this is mostly fast black metal with a minimum of blasting. The songs are indistinguishable from each other however. This is also a rather short album, coming in at under 40 minutes. Overall I like this but I don't consider this a must have album, but if you want something fast and on the side of Satan you could do far worse than Kult of Azazel.
