I've been lucky enough to score both Cosmic Genesis and Till Fjalls at the Metal Haven's used bin, and damn, am I happy. Opening with a pseudo-spooky keyboard riff beneath strange vocals, Cosmic Genesis quickly lurches in a pounding, wash of melodic metal riffing with throaty rasps darting between lines of anthemic, flowing vocals. The song is Astral and Acrcane, and it's title is perfect metaphor to open an album that effortlessly blends beauty and darkness, organic and digital, nature and spirit.
